Dental Bonding and White Fillings

Dental bonding restores chipped or broken teeth, fills in gaps, and reshapes or recolors your smile using a composite resin material. The resin comes in many shades so that we can match it to your natural teeth. This is an excellent cosmetic option if you do not want the look of silver in your mouth or the expense of veneers.

How It’s Done…

Bonding Before After

Any decayed or unsightly tooth structure is removed. A mild solution is applied to your teeth creating a rough surface so that the resin bonds. The composite resin is applied and a high-intensity light cures the resin onto the tooth surface. The resin cures within minutes and additional layers of resin are applied. When the last layer is applied the bonded material is sculpted to fit your tooth and finely polished, leaving you with a beautifully sculpted, natural-looking restoration.

How Long Does It Last…

Although composite resins are cosmetically pleasing and easily placed, their durability is not as strong as other types of restorations. These resins typically last from 4-7 years before showing signs of wear. In some cases, the worn composite can be repaired rather than replaced
